STWM 2016 CES Charity Run
Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Charity Run 16/10/16
Since 2008, individuals like you have joined Team CES Canada at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Charity Challenge (STWM). The results have been amazing! $150,000 has been raised for the “Orphan Kids of Kakamega”. This is the equivalent of 700 secondary school scholarships. It includes tuition fees, nutrition and health programs as well as accommodation for a third of our students living at boarding schools.
This year more than ever – we need you. Our goal in 2016 is to raise $20,000. With your help it is doable. Only one thing I am asking you to do today…book Sunday, October 16, 2016 in your calendar. Think about your involvement. Lots of options…
a) Join Team CES Canada
b) Sponsor CES Canada
c) Support a Team member
d) Volunteer to help organizing the event

Why join? – Fun and participation at a world class running event…and, opportunity to make a difference for Kenyan Kids orphaned by HIV/Aids.
STWM is the one major CES fundraiser of the year. This is the 9th year CES has been involved.
Registration: ASAP as spaces are limited…last year all 6500 spots for the 5km walk were gone three weeks before the event!
a) Can others join me?
Yes, invite your friends to register and make it a party!
b) How do I fundraise?
Register first, join Team CES Canada, set up your own personal page on the STWM website and invite friends and family to sponsor you. It’s easy – all on-line.
c) Do all the funds donated go to the orphan kids in Kenya?
d) How much will it cost to Register online?
e) Do I need to train?
Yes, especially if in a running event. If walking then training is good but a vigorous schedule is not required. To participate you should be in reasonable shape. The oldest participant last year at the STWM reportedly was 101 years. He ran his first marathon at age 89!
f) What if I am unable to participate?
More details later but you can help by sponsoring a Team Member or by making an on-line donation to CES Canada. Also you can persuade a friend or colleague to walk or run in your place.
Please set aside October 16 for the STWM Charity Challenge. You won’t regret it.
