How you can help: social media, and our marathoners

Giving CES a lift on social media

Who knew that the little word “like” could be so powerful? It is on the social media platforms that CES currently uses – Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Just by clicking on a “like” button has the effect of multiplying our message out to all of your connections and friends on these social platforms. It implies your endorsement of the CES message.

So if you follow CES on Facebook, or you’re a connection on Linked in for a CES board member, watch for content that CES produces. Then hit “like” or “share.” Or, even better, leave a comment – that’s so much more powerful in terms of multiplying our message.

Support us for the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon!

As has been our practice pre-COVID, CES will have a team in what is now called the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon, in October 2022. Let us know if you plan to participate. We’ll be glad to have you along.

We won’t be collecting shoes this year, as the Canada Day Run in Kenya isn’t continuing.

We’ll keep you informed about our team’s membership, and let us know if you want to become a sponsor for this event. As previously, the Marathon organizers will handle donations and charitable receipts. CES receives the funds to allow us to go on supporting “bright, needy and ambitious” (in the words of CES Kenya Patron Malik Khaemba).

Details to come!

Here’s board member Carl Friesen’s description of how he’s training for this event.
