An update on Michael and Linda

Linda Frederiksen, a lifelong educator and now retired Ontario secondary school principal, has supported CES Canada since its early beginnings in 2003. Her advice and encouragement to husband and CES co-founder Michael Frederiksen has been recognized and highly appreciated. In fact, Linda's knowledge of East Africa and the history of our work in Kenya has led to many key initiatives and added support for our students.

In May 2023 Linda suffered a stroke while in Europe. This brain injury has caused impairment in her mobility and speech. Support from friends in Kenya, Canada, USA, UK, Netherlands and Denmark has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated.

A continuous cycle of rest and therapy has been positive. "We've got a long way to go, but we are grateful for the improvements already seen. We know that prayer and emotional support is key to Linda's recovery. Thanks to all who have come alongside to help us get through the biggest challenge of our lives." (Michael).
