CES Celebrates Kenya High Achievers

CES Kenya Graduates Excel in 2020-21 KCSE National Examinations

CES Canada and CES Kenya congratulate the following outstanding students who have excelled in their Form 4 national exams. Of the 30, all passed their finals. 18 are now eligible to attend a Kenyan university while the remaining 12 are eligible to study at a vocational training school or college. Special mention to Dickson Oponyo who achieved an outstanding A Plain and to Reagan Wechuli for his A- Grade.

The KCSE examination timetable had to undergo some changes since the schools were closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Usually these exams are set for November of any given year. The 2020 KCSE were actually written five months later from March 26 to April 21, 2021. Due to a complicated on-line application process and the time required for universities to send out letters of admission, our students will likely not register and attend classes until a year from now. Although bright and motivated with a history of high academic achievement, their opportunities are limited due to lack of school fees. CES Canada continues to assist many through partial scholarships.

Through CESCED - (CES School of Continuing Education), students achieving B+ or higher in the KCSE are guaranteed placement in a six-month Internship Program. As Teacher Assistant and Student Mentor, interns receive a stipend that covers living expenses and some anticipated school fees.
