Marathon supporters raise C$3,570 for CES!

Thank you, everyone who contributed to support our TCS Waterfront Marathon participants this year. Total raised was C$3,570, enough to cover scholarships for the year for four of our university students.

Some participants walked or ran the “official” course in Toronto. Others – Michael Frederiksen and his wife Linda – participated in a walk along the “Royal Mile” in Edinburgh, Scotland.

CES board member Carl Friesen participated in Kakamega, Kenya, joining a team of our Alumni who also participated in the cause for the first time. This walk raised $1150, providing much needed support for the Divine Providence Orphanage, a cause with which CES has long been identified.

On a visit to Kenya in November, Michael provided our Kenyan participants with an official “marathon” t-shirt and medal, each. Click here to learn more.
